Semuhganda Joshua - Brand Identity Design
This identity was developed for Semaganda Joshua, a Ugandan visual artist and photographer whose work captures the depth of everyday life through an honest, documentary lens. The goal was to create a visual language that reflects both his grounded storytelling and his introspective approach to art.

The design process focused on translating his artistic vision into a visual language that feels connected and true to his perspective. The logo merges the first initials of his names, forming a single jointed mark that symbolizes connection which is the most important aspect of Joshua’s art through which he captures togetherness of people, culture, and their livelihood.
Within the logo, the circular holes represent the camera lens through which he views his world. These openings serve as a metaphor for his creative eye, daring viewers to see through his perspective and explore the deeper stories behind each frame. The overall identity blends clean typography and grounded tones to reflect Joshua’s calm, reflective approach to storytelling and his commitment to capturing authentic human moments
