Ndere Cultural Center
The Ndere Cultural Center stands as a living archive of Uganda’s diverse traditions, storytelling, and performance arts. Rooted in dance, music, and community, it serves not only as a stage but as a bridge between generations, carrying heritage into the present.

This project is my take on the redesign of the Ndere logo with the goal of elevating it into a modern, timeless identity while honoring the spirit of the center. The redesign balances cultural symbolism and contemporary minimalism, creating a mark that can be relatable both locally and globally.

The new logo draws inspiration from movement and rhythm, echoing the dynamic energy of traditional dance, as well as unity and gathering, with abstract forms representing community and togetherness, and heritage and continuity, through a nod to motifs found in Ugandan craft, pattern, and storytelling.

By refining these shapes into a clean, versatile design, the logo adapts seamlessly across platforms, from physical signage and costumes to digital spaces, ensuring that the identity of Ndere remains visible, relevant, and dignified in today’s visual landscape.
